Know my classmate

Today in English class, we were given a task. We've to write about a classmate of ours, and that too will be said by he teacher. I have to write about a girl named Vaishnavi, and here's what I wrote.

Vaishnavi has been studying with me for two years now. I know a very little about her, because I think I never got a chance to get her know better. Vaishnavi is a skilled dancer and an artist. I've seen her perform a few times and was astonished by her gracefulness. She is very soft and kind to everyone; even those who tease her. She is usually silent in the class as well as in the other school activities. Unless you are one of her close friends, you won't realise that she can talk! She is somewhat calm and very patient.

Coming to her interests and her way of socialising, Vaishnavi has the most peculiar mixture of liking. She loves pulsar bikes. I've heard her saying that she reads books often, but I don't know much about her interests in books. We share quite a few common things; we both like food very much. In fact, she loves Chinese food. I've noticed her using baby pink coloured things till date, so I guess her favourite colour is baby pink. When it comes to her day to day routine, she loves gardening. She motivates people around her to grow plants. Gardening is what brought her together with Rosna and Rithiga, her two best friends. She is also a skilled runner.

By writing about her, I think I've started getting to know a Vaishnavi I've never imagined of. She's one of the sweetest persons I've ever met and I'll never forget.

Dude - Review

TL;DR - A Rare mainstream surprise with its heart in the right place. To begin with, I didn't expect any movie to make it to my blog this year, especially Dude. My experience with Murakami - 1

Before we begin, I am in no way qualified to review this book. However, I might not be able to move on with life if I don't give this the closure it deserves. I thought my first encounter with Murakami would be through Norwegian Wood. Like everybody else. It could've been through Kafka on the shore too, I saw that book on my dad's desk for almost three months. But no. Maybe this book landed at the right time. Or there is no right time. Sometimes you find the book, and in most cases, it is the book that finds you. Afterthoughts - YellowFace

 It took me a while to finish this book. Longer than I'd like to admit. Partly because engineering can get exhausting; sometimes all you want to do is sit still and stare into the void.
