Sufiyum Sujatayum review

Hey guys, hope this reaches you in good times. I recently watched a movie called Sufiyum Sujatayum on Amazon Prime, and to summarise whatever you're going to read next, it is simply beautiful!

The film revolves around the brewing love between Sufi (Dev Mohan) and Sujata (Aditi Rao Hydari), a graceful dancer yet not acquainted with the gift of speaking. Prevailing social norms disallows their union, and the story mostly focuses on their time together, and sad reality in the present.

The background score and the songs are amazing. Every small sound is captured perfectly, and the movie as a whole is a visual treat.  Specifically, Sufi's dance is mind-blowing! Both Sufi and Sujata's dances are so graceful, even a person who has zero interest in dance will feel impressed. The combination of location and aesthetic of the film makes it hard to stop watching.

Overall, it is like watching a short poem live in action. Let me know in the comments what you think. Happy watching!

    Wonderful review bharathi. It's like my point of u described here with perfect words....
    And more important character lies with rajeev(jayasurya).there is a hidden smile when he hears Sufi died. That is not noted by many. But it's a so called emotion of a husband who 'S wife had a relationship before and not overcome that.... 😊😇

    Yes. I enjoyed the movie . heroine's performance no chance. Hero too did his character well.

    Worst movie. You will learn slowly when you understand a movie is not just a movie. However your writing is good.

Dude - Review

TL;DR - A Rare mainstream surprise with its heart in the right place. To begin with, I didn't expect any movie to make it to my blog this year, especially Dude. I was skeptical even while booking the tickets, and the pessimism only grew when a couple of close friends said they didn’t like it. For context: I didn’t enjoy Love Today , and Dragon was just okay. But if skepticism can ever lead to a pleasant surprise, Dude definitely proves it. I usually look for one out of two things from a film - a compelling narrative or solid entertainment. I don’t comment much on Tamil films because Tamil cinema, at least from what I have sampled, often misses both and at its worst, treats the female lead as an interchangeable prop, contributing no real agency to the story. My experience with Murakami - 1

Before we begin, I am in no way qualified to review this book. However, I might not be able to move on with life if I don't give this the closure it deserves. I thought my first encounter with Murakami would be through Norwegian Wood. Like everybody else.
