For the first time, I got a chance to see a film in the PVR Grand Galada here. It turned out to be The Death Cure. I had been waiting for this film so long, so I became excited.
The movie is a good epilogue to the trilogy. It is based on the original series written by James Dashner. Although there were a few major changes, it wasn't boring. Comparing to the latest Tamil movies I saw, this is far more better. And it's a must watch for all science fiction fans. But be sure to watch the previous parts, so that you won't be confused.
The movie has great action sequences. Thomas leads his friends into the WCKD,in order to learn about the last city and rescue his friend Minho and other initiates. And the rest of the movie is made on the challenges he faced and risks he faced. Dylan O'Brien was awesome! There were a few jokes here and there. And having Gally back wasn't bad, after all. Teresa and Newt didn't had to die. That was sad. And Newt's letter was really touching. The most impressive scenes according to me were the first scene (lifting a train compartment) Frypan lifting the bus and the final scene. I was just wondering what could happen if this is the real situation of the world today? And the WCKD buildings were really cool and high tech. Wish I could visit it one day. As usual, the glader language was entertaining.
There were a few major changes which was dissatisfying. Like how Newt died, it was completely different from the book. And the logic behind his letter was also lagging. I wasn't aware of Janson's health either. The only disappointment i felt was that I expected the flat trans to show up, but it didn't.
Overall, the movie was awesome. I'm giving this film a 4.4 out of 5. So what are you waiting for, Hermano? Grab your tickets and get your snacks.
