I watched Jumanji last Saturday. I know I'm late, but it's one of the best movies that I've watched ever! It had everything- humor, adventure, typically everything I'd like to watch about. The movie is about a video game, and when kids play it, they would actually turn into their selected avatars and they have to survive in order to finish the game. And beware, you've got only three chances!
It all started with young Spencer and his friends (I don't remember their names) getting detention for various reasons. They were supposed to unstaple magazines for recycling, but instead, they found a video game in a donation box and they decided to play it. They chose their characters, and when the game started, they were transported into the game world! Their mission was to restore the magic jewel in the jaguar's eye which was taken by an evil character. The whole adventure is based on the riddles they decode. And the riddle involving the missing piece, was actually the fifth character Alex Vreeke, who was stuck in the game for 20 years!
I enjoyed Dr. Mouse's humor throughout the film. Everyone were given a character that was totally different from their high school counterpart. It's a perfect movie to watch before your exams start. Some sources say there's going to be a part 3. If that's true, I can't wait for it!
And if that video game ever exists, I'd love to play it too!
