After a long month of continuous exams, I finally had a quiet weekend this week. Two days of holidays, and yeah, first things first I slept well. Then, yesterday, I tried to complete all major works yesterday. And today, I did some math and reading, and found myself free in the afternoon. So, I called my friend and soon, the same trio were watching a movie, and this time it was "Camp Rock." It has Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers in the lead. (Small Note: this movie came in 2008.)
Now, I wanted to watch this movie because I was so obsessed with this song "Wouldn't change a thing." from the second part. And the movie turned out to be good too. Mitchie joins camp rock in summer, and she fakes her identity in order to fit in and become popular. But this forced her to hide her true nature and talents, and when her secret is exposed, she feels really bad. And the antagonist (technically there's not one!) makes sure that Mitchie is disallowed to participate in the final jam. But at last, she rocks the final jam. Though she doesn't win, the movie's got a happy ending. It also has a teenage rockstar Shane Gray who plays the male lead. He is first enchanted with Mitchie's voice, then he tries to find the owner of the voice. But he doesn't realize that he was already talking well with the owner of the voice. This truth comes into light at the final jam.
Now, you may see the movie as a good entertainer, but behind the obsessive music there is a sterling message. If you want to be recognised, you don't have to pretend like someone else. At the end of the day, you will still be you and no one can change that. So stop trying to imitate and start embracing your own self.
