The Girl In Room 105 - My Review

 It’s good to be back! To blogging, to reading, basically to be free of exams. I’m in tenth grade this year, which means once school starts to go seriously, I might go temporarily offline. Putting all that aside, I completed reading a new book! It’s called “The girl in room 105” and is written by Chetan Bhagat.

 If you had seen the book’s trailer, you might remember a famous line, “It's not a love story. It is an unlove story." It sure is. Keshav, who is an IIT pass out, on receives a call from his ex to meet her at her hostel room 105. He goes along with his friend Saurabh. Boys aren’t allowed inside girls’ hostel, and he is not a student anymore. But he still manages to get into the campus and climbs a mango tree that is near her room. And when he gets inside and realizes what really is going on, his boring tutor life takes a great turn!

I’ll leave it there because  no spoilers! You must read the book. I read this on my kindle and trust me, I couldn’t keep it down. I had holidays last weekend, due to the ongoing boards and annual exams for junior classes, and I feel I had been productive. And guess what, I went to the Phoenix Marketcity to witness the release of Tamil version of that book. And Chetan Bhagat was there! I took a selfie with him and even asked about one of the characters when the audience could ask questions.

Afterthoughts - YellowFace

 It took me a while to finish this book. Longer than I'd like to admit. Partly because engineering can get exhausting; sometimes all you want to do is sit still and stare into the void.
